WONY is interviewing upstart jam band The Incredible Sandwich!

This Thursday at 4PM on Cooper "The Full" Nelson's classic rock show we have an interview with the up-and-coming jam band The Incredible Sandwich. Matt McKinney, lead guitarist and vocalist of The Sandwich, has decided to take a few minutes out of his busy touring schedule to talk life on the road and music with WONY.

The band recently released their self-titled debut EP, a gem which has been on high rotation for the past month here at the station. Though they are known for their powerful live shows (like any self-respecting jam band), this release gives a good glimpse into what the band is all about: kickass grooves melding a world's worth of different styles, improvisational guitar and hammond B3 solos, and a distinct songwriting style that sets them apart from the rest of the crowd which can best be described as "storytelling." Listening to "Bluebird 1" and "Bluebird 2," it's easy to understand what this description means.
