Remembering the 80'and 90's : Spotlight Performance

Late Spotlight Performance!!!

So, I will shine the spotlight on yet another rapper!

This is a very talented woman, who demonstrates that there was a time when women could be very successful without having her body as the center of attention, or at least that was not the only option.

I feel like in the 80's and 90's female performers could go the sexy route or have a more laid-back style and it didn't matter. I wish that this was still the case, that female performers could choose to be sexy or be casual and not dolled up to keep an audience or be mainstream.

Anyway, I'm here to put it out there that it was normal in the Hip Hop world at one point, although I'm sure there was still struggles behind the scenes. (Hope all that made sense!)
