Columbia Records has released unpolished versions of tunes that were on the Basement Tapes and other songs Dylan and the Band recorded at the time that were not on the record. Also found were Dylan lyrics from that period (late 1966-1967). T-bone Burnett put together a collective of musicians including Jim James, Taylor Goldsmith, Marcus Mumford, Elvis Costello, and Rhiannon Giddens, who put music to these lyrics-the album the made is Lost on the River, the New Basement Tapes. Billy Bragg, Wilco, and Jonatha Brooke had done the same with lyrics by Woody Guthrie that had no music, so I'm going to play some tunes from their work.
