Happy Sunday everyone!

Here is a spotlight performance for this week!

I'm still keeping the music in a funky feel so I can get some of those types of artists out here, and this is song a lot of you might be familiar with.

Here are the clues on the artist:

1.) This American singer and songwriter was also a Broadway star. One of her roles was as Dorothy in The Wiz.
2.) Her first two albums as a signed recording artist did not do well because of difficulties finding her sound and getting a buzz going for her music.

1.) This an American singer, songwriter, and record producer.
2.) This hint is interesting. According to internet land, this singer was the president and founder of the very first Patti LaBelle fan club.
3.)Unfortunately, this singer is no longer with us. He passed away on July 1st, 2005.

It's time again to shine some light on the talent of the 80's and 90's!!!

But before I do, just a reminder: I will not be having my show this week because I am on SPPPRRRIINNGG BREAK!!! Whoo! I get to chill for a bit! I will be back on the air Wednesday, March 18th, same station, same time!

Even though I will be a no show this week, I will have a spotlight performance posted up this Wednesday, maybe 2 in 1, but no promises.

It's time for another SPOTLIGHT PERFORMANCE!!!

The internet was really making life hard for me when I was looking for a performance, people. I went through four or five artists, and there were very limited live performance videos for the songs I wanted; it was soooooooo annoying!!

But I was able to find one that I wanted, so here we go.

Here are the clues:
1.)This is an American R&B trio.
2.) All three members are from New York City (2 from The Bronx, 1 from Brooklyn)

So first, Happy commercial holiday day...I mean Valentine's Day! lol But honestly, you can defiantly show someone you care for them anytime of the year, not only on this rando day. Some of you are now probably thinking "You're single aren't you?" .....Well, I say.... I'm just stating the obvious yo! And Valentine's Day should be love for all the people in your life, not just a significant other! That should be how the holiday is promoted.

Okay, being serious now, Happy Valentines Day everyone and I hope you had a wonderful Friday the 13th the night before!

IT'S TIME TO SHINE SOME LIGHT ON ANOTHER GREAT PERFORMANCE FROM BACK IN THE DAY!

Alrighty! I hope everyone is having a good weekend! :) I am excited about this performance because they deserve snaps throughout this whole video and some serious shots were fired at the end.

2.) The group's first album, Breaking Atoms, has a song featuring Nas, which is supposedly his first on-record appearance.

Okay, so I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break, but it's time to get back into the swing of things.

1.) This is a rapper.
2.) According to the internet, she was apparently the first female rapper signed to Motown Records.
3.) She unfortunately died in 1991 during the production of her sophomore album.
