Late, Late, Late, Late, Late, Late. I'm finally posting up the final SPOTLIGHT PERFORMANCE for the semester!! Finals had me occupied and then I forgot, but now I. am. ready.!

I'm seeing Christmas and other holiday decorations everywhere but I don't feel like anyone is in the holiday spirit. Maybe it's because I'm older and I don't really care for it too much anymore, but let's see if I can change that. My video will be Christmas themed to hopefully get the mood going.

This is crazy; TWO times in a row?! I don't know why lately it's been really easy for me to find spotlight performance videos, but hey I'm not complaining!

I want to shine a spotlight on one of the most influential rappers in Hip Hop history. Now, he is an artist everyone probably expected to be up already, along with a few others, but it has to be the right song and video for me to put up a post. This is the one I like for him.

SO, all weekend I have had this singers' songs on REPEAT. She has a voice that stands out from all other artists, that I know, and I just want everyone to bond with her on this song like I did.

This performance is a stray from my usual Hip Hop and R&B stuff. To me, this is like 80's soft rock/pop or something.

Alright so I'm getting a little jazzy on this spotlight. I need to play more of this woman because she has an incredibly powerful voice! If anyone knows this woman, the song, I feel, they probably know her for is this one. I know, I know, this is really really late, but it's here now so whatever!

This singer is sooooo deep, wonderful, and honest in her music, and is very very talented. Her music does not come without an important message, which I really like.
In this performance you can tell she is reliving the moments her song is talking about, and it's touching to physically see an artist feeling their music and singing from their heart.

Okay, so I have been wanting to play this song on my show for a couple of weeks now but I haven't, so I decided to post up a performance of it.

If you tuned in to WONY this past Tuesday you might have noticed there was no Remembering the 80's and 90's on. If you didn't tune in then you probably didn't notice and was doing something else with your life. lol

I took a break from my show on Tuesday because there was no school so I'm sorry for listeners who wanted a show and didn't get one. I will be back this Tuesday.

Late Spotlight Performance!!!

So, I will shine the spotlight on yet another rapper!

This is a very talented woman, who demonstrates that there was a time when women could be very successful without having her body as the center of attention, or at least that was not the only option.

I feel like in the 80's and 90's female performers could go the sexy route or have a more laid-back style and it didn't matter. I wish that this was still the case, that female performers could choose to be sexy or be casual and not dolled up to keep an audience or be mainstream.
